VENUE: RAVENSWOOD EVENT CENTER | FLORIST: STEMLINE CREATIVE | PHOTOGRAPHY: TASHA SCHALK, REDWALL PHOTO | DJ: CAGE AND AQUARIUM

A donut and ice cream bar, an abundance of Harry Potter references, fascinators and a special choreographed first dance.  What more could you want? Sarah and Tom had such a fun and entertaining wedding! These two know how to put on a great party. From the beautiful ceremony, which included readings from Princess Bride and the Sara Bareilles song, "I Choose You", to the fish and chips and mac and cheese croquets for a midnight snack.  These two put so much effort into their big day to make it special for everyone involved. This was more than the joining of two families, it was a joining of countries and cultures. With Sarah being from the US and Tom being from England, there were many great stories and memories shared among friends and family. Tom's great-grandmothers wedding shoes even made an appearance at the wedding.  This special tradition has been carried on through the Bakker family and was a special added touch to the already amazing décor. We are so glad that you both found your lobster! Best of luck in your marriage, Sarah and Tom!

VENUE: ROSEWOOD BEACH AND INTERPRETIVE CENTER | PHOTOGRAPHER: JENNIFER CLAIRE PHOTOGRAPHY | SERVING STAFF: THAT SPECIAL EVENT | VIOLINIST: JERRY FIELDS | FLORIST: STUDIO AG

Georgia and Dan did not want or need a typical wedding, which is probably why they hired us! The gorgeous bride and groom married in an intimate outdoor ceremony on Rosewood Beach in Highland Park, the bride’s hometown, at sundown surrounded by 40 of their closest friends and family. After the nighttime nuptials, cupcakes and refreshments were served inside the Interpretive Center as a violinist serenaded the room. Everything about the evening was unique from Georgia’s gown that she purchased from Rent the Runway and had tailored to her liking to the highlight of the evening when all the guests filed outside to take turns beating custom made piñata. Congratulations, beauties!

AELO Alumni | Emily + Adrian, 10/1/16

We loved working with Emily and Adrian—they’re are the sweetest couple who spent a lot of time and effort really honing in on the vibe and design of their wedding and boy did it turn out fantastic! Their friend married them on the art deco steps of the famed Rookery Building in downtown Chicago on the first Saturday in October. After they said their “I dos”, cocktails were served upstairs where guests had a view of the amazing room flip taking place below them. The elegant ceremony space was transformed into a metropolitan menagerie complete with tree centerpieces inspired by Emily’s desire for a flowerless wedding. It was a magical evening, made even more special by the fact that it was also E+A’s 10 year dating anniversary! Congratulations you two, we wish you every happiness!
